Facing criticism of moving too slowly on reforming WA’s out-of-date gun laws in the wake of this week’s school shooting, Police Minister Paul Papalia has confirmed for the first time some of the key planks of the pending legislation and when it will go to parliament.
Reforming the controversial property letter system — which gives tens of thousands of West Australians easy and legal access to guns — will be at the forefront at the overhaul of the State’s gun laws.
