Roger Cook hopes the much-vaunted re-write of WA’s firearms laws will be introduced to Parliament before the end of the year.
The Premier said the legislation — which will include temporarily banning anyone issued with a violence restraining order from owning a gun — was in the “advanced stages of drafting” and would be released for public comment “in the coming weeks”.
